As a blogger we put ourselves out there filtering our personal life not letting too much in or too much out. It's hard to not look transparent at times. I'd like to think that i'm one of the few that lets you in. Lets you see me when I'm down, or just "going thru something" It's life right? No one is perfect, so why pretend to be this perfect person with no boy problems or drama or insecurities. My tumblr is a perfect example of where I open up the most without letting you know all the details of course.
My good friend Russ took these photos of me a while back, I love how they came out he's amazing and really captured some nice moments in my home, that I'm happy to share with you all.

Nobody's perfect

I'm not the cookie cutter person, with the organized room or closet. I listen to sad music when I'm down and lose my phone every 10 minutes. It's always on my bed, but do I learn? No. Take a glimpse into my room; a mess every other moment. An organized rumble of my precious stuff. I'm actually and you might not believe this, but a super neat freak I'm extremely OCD about how neat I want everything to be as soon as I stop out of my room. My apartment is spotless...and I mean freaking spotless, ask anyone, I'm crazy about order...but somehow not in my room, and I don't care, I know where stuff is I don't need to be perfect in every aspect of my life. Perfection is so terribly boring.
Here are some of my favorite "down in the dump" songs. Sometimes you just have to listen to sad music, it feels likes soft hugs and slowly dying flowers (ew, i'm getting poetic aren't I?) Well...so what.
Soko - No more home no more love
Devandra banheart - Bad Girls
Beach House- Silver Soul
Feist and Ben Gibbard - Train song
Deer hunter - Agaraphobia
Still corner - The twilight hour
Washed out - New theory
The Xx - Infinity
Father John Misty - One of us can not be wrong
All these songs are really good but I think my favorites are Devandra Banhearts, Deer Hunter and Father John Misty...

{film '12} My life according to film
Jan 4, 2013

An overly priced Rush concert. Halloween during Sandy. A day trip to Amsterdam. Nick's long hair always in my face. Roaming markets in Indonesia. Being creepy at home. Purple wigs. Palm Springs. Hot tubs. Seeing the friends in Venice.
Just some film photos I finally decided to developp over the months. I have some rolls left, some rolls to do... I post a bunch of stuff on my other Tumblr that I never tell anyone about. (You can see it here)
I hope that everyone had a great New Years!
Want to give a big thanks to all you guys for reading Trop Rouge and being all sweet & rad these past two years! Let me know if there is anything you guys would like to see more of this year...Trop Rouge is more than just some "Fashion blog" It's something I started for me, for my friends. It was a way to not be bored and it turned into something that I never thought it would ever ever turn into...I try to keep it as authentic as it's always been...For me it's not always about what I'm wearing, It's about the lifestyle..the environment I'm in and the mood. I hope to always keep it that way, but as always I'm open to new ideas and yours are always welcome...
