Pairing a swimsuit with jeans has always been such an easy outfit to put on and take off. The occasional wet spots on the tush might appear, but that's an easy fix in the sun haha.
My friends in Biarritz are extremely healthy. As soon as Emilia suggested we spend July 14th (Prise de la Bastille) over at her place by the pool everyone offered to cook, Naturally I offered to buy the wine. Now that I'm back in New York I dearly wish to go back and if could chose a day then obviously July 14th...the food was absolutely delicious!!
How did you all celebrate the 4th and/or 14th?

I love being comfortable, I think that's a given. If we've been on my site before the first remarkable thing would be the fact I hardly ever wear any heels and I hate following fads I enjoy being barefoot or in Nike's. When I travel back home to Biarritz you will fine me in boyfriend jeans and comfy shirts like this one from La Beyor. I hate thinking, I think that's the problem...Just wake up wash your face, put on some cream and stuff your bag for the beach...or head to your friends house to enjoy a pool party which is just what I did until I discovered my friends lil pup just waiting to have her belly scratched haha I feel terrible cause I forgot her name but believe me she was so very precious.

Small talks
Jul 18, 2013
photography: Morgane Bonnet Lay
Hanging around my friends Celine's pool means talking to your best friends with no top on and not having a care in the world. It also means deep tans and endless conversations about who is dating who and has so and so told him she wants to break up...it's those sort of conversations I love when I'm home the ones that don't matter.

Yesterday was my first day back in Biarritz, I feel like I've been living out of a suitcase forever! Left Denmark back in New York for 14 hours (not even) and then back on a place to France. Expect a Roskilde festival recap very soon, I have so much more to share with you all!
Decided to wear one of my absolute favorite swimsuits at my friend Celine's pool, I landed and bacially hopped right in. I don't want to wear it to the beach since cause It's a little too nice to get sand all up on it, but it's hands down pool worthy.

As a blogger we put ourselves out there filtering our personal life not letting too much in or too much out. It's hard to not look transparent at times. I'd like to think that i'm one of the few that lets you in. Lets you see me when I'm down, or just "going thru something" It's life right? No one is perfect, so why pretend to be this perfect person with no boy problems or drama or insecurities. My tumblr is a perfect example of where I open up the most without letting you know all the details of course.
My good friend Russ took these photos of me a while back, I love how they came out he's amazing and really captured some nice moments in my home, that I'm happy to share with you all.

I can't even begin to tell you how happy I am to be back home in Paris. Barcelona was radical but France just feels right. Pierce knew I was coming, but had no clue which day. I wish I could have recorded his face when he open the door. He stood for a good 2 seconds absolutely stunned and then jumped on me. Haha! Amazing.
Currently writing this post at Orly airport, about to board a quick hour flight to Biarritz to see my girls for the weekend. I'm bringing Pierce to Disney Land when I get back a sort of belated Birthday / Mother day gift. Plus I get to hang out with my other brother Philip Charles so this is literally the best trip in the world for me. My dad is going to be super jealous he wont be able to see Mickey Mouse..I'll be sure to rub it in real hard! :)

Soft goodbyes
Mar 14, 2013
I've always been super into vintage. The thrill of rummaging thru racks jammed packed with hidden treasures has always been my happy time. Long Island thrifting is way better than thrifting in the city (in my opinion). The city has been picked over so many times and then priced so ridiculously. Found this amazing coat that dates back to when my dad was a little kid in the late 60's He was much more exited than I was, saying it reminded him of his sisters and basically just growing up... I don't know, it was a nice feeling. I'm fascinated by so many different styles and decades its hard to place my finger on just one style I'd like to stick to...being one style is so utterly boring to me.

Dress: Gentle Fawn (or here), Top: Top Shop, jacket: Vintage scarf: Nanette Lepore, socks: Stance
At home, having my brother cook breakfast for me. Which consisted of just pasta. Philip Charles and I are notorious for eating the weirdest things in the morning. I'm back on Long Island for the weekend, unfortunately a family friend has passed. It's hard times when someone you love is gone, but that's life. People come and go. They leave impacts in your life, they make you smile and they make you appreciate the little things and then they leave to do their work else where.
(at least thats how i'd like to see it)
I know many of you have been asking questions on my Tumblr about my family and where they live and if Pierce is my son.
*Pierce is my seven year old brother. This devil child is not mine. Hahaha.
*Yes my parents live in Paris, but they kept the house on Long Island (for now).
Anymore questions? Feel free to ask away on my Tumblr I'll try to respond. I love silly questions so if you ask me funny ones i'll respond quicker.

{Paris} The steps of Montmartre.
Jan 6, 2013
Only a couple more days left here in this beautiful city. Thankfully my parents live in Paris, so I'm always welcome...it's still bittersweet to leave. Yesterday was spent climbing the stairs of Montmartre and enjoying a late lunch at a cafe I'd been to as a child. I had the honor of sitting next to Pierce, who I had to pay to sit still and be calm. A whole 2 euros were promised, he only got half since he decided that screaming instead of talking was the best way to get his 6 year old point across.
My photos from Berlin are taking up space on my desktop just waiting to be posted, numerous film rolls are waiting to be developed, memories to be shared. In a perfect world I'd live in a house full of everything & one that makes me happy all day long I'd listen to records of my favorite artists, the fridge would have an insane amount of rice pudding and you'd be able to hear girl laughter. Yeah girl laughter.
