If you have been following me on instagram  this past week then you know that I've been hopping on and off planes for the last 10 days or so?  First Barcelona then Paris then Biarriz..and then back to Paris. I packed really lightly for this trip..this might be because I decided to pack the morning of my flight (whatever it works right?) Denim will never get old especially denim on denim, I'm positive. Also I don't  really care because I love cut off's and patchwork denim tops like this one from Willow and Clay. I hate that I have to go back to New York so soon..I feel like I just got here. I miss my friends already. Yesterday I hung out near La Bastille with some of my friends. We picnic'd near the water, I can't lie I've been super lucky with the weather lately!

Another beautiful sunny day in Biarritz, perfect beach day, wore cut off's and my Modern Vice shoes. They compliment every outfit so packing them for travels was a no brainer. I drove past my old house with Morgane and screamed out my window saying "I use to live there" (in French naturally) I do it every time I go back. It never gets old. Nor will waking up at 11am and being surrounded by my best friends snoring and sleeping on chairs and in pillow forts, (yes we still make them and i'm 24).

My style has always been super relaxed and easy going so when it comes to showing off a little bit of your bra...why not; especially if it's meant to be seen.  Wore a comfy tye dye bra yesterday morning lazing myself around Morgane's house (lazing might not be a word, but let's just keep it for now, okay?) I didn't spend too long inside since the weather was literally perfect!
I leave for Paris this afternoon...I don't want to go. Although I do cause I miss Pierce... decisions decisions...
last night we stuffed our faces with tapas. I'm going to miss all the girls but I'll be back again this July. Till then...

The past two days in Biarritz have been amazing. I've been staying with my dear friend Morgane who just so happens to be a photographer  and an amazing one at that, so I've been taking full advantage of her skills. She snapped me in this Jarlo dress just the other day after a night out. I decided to spend the entire day sleeping on the grass under the sun...might have had too much fun the night before...just matybe. A bunch of our friends came over and we just sat outside telling each other stories from when we were young and congratulating my our friend Freddy on being newly wed. Freddy is the first out of our group of friends to get hitched and act like a real adult...who's next ?!

Travel Guide: Biarritz

Mar 14, 2013

As many of you knew I grew up in France and for the most part was raised in Biarritz, which in my opinion is the greatest place on earth. I loved every bit of Biarritz and all of my best friends are from there.
As a tourist we pack really stupid things. I mean come on you can agree with me right? How many times have we looked into our suitcase and have been "OH MY GOD why did I bring this, I don't even wear this shit" yeah been there felt & done that.
If you ever come to Biarritz which I suggest you do, just be normal for gods sake stop trying to dress all beach cool it's lame and we HATE that, the more you try to look different and wear heels and stupid jackets the more we will laugh at you. I mean...thats a given in any country right?

Biarritz Jam

For a normal beach look:
If your going to the beach... go to the beach it's not a cat walk.
Wear a cute bikin (why not right) The guys are hot and if you hang out at the Cote de Basque well then you might run into some of my ex's...tell them I said hi and wear this baseball top it's cute yet tomboyish
shorts: Billabong
tote: AE
bikini striped top & bottom
Growing up on the beach is one of my favorite life memories. Almost every July the Roxy Jam came, a 5 day long surf competition with bands and just good vibes all day long.

Daytime/ lunch:
Shopping downtown or having a drink at the Ventilo? Stick to the basic's. We love fun shirts like on the board above...the Foxy one from Juicy Couture. Simple skinniescarry all bag to stuff your souvenirs in or even your change of clothes from the beach
sunnies: Asos
sandals: Marais USA

Jean Jacket

Keds
I use to have that very same scooter...if you added a bunch of stickers of course.

Going out

Going out:
Biarritz kids are always comfortable and love to have have fun...and by fun I mean get silly drinking wine on the streets and just being stupid. (i've had an ice cream fight and gotten thrown out of the O bar twice barefoot...that was a long night) Dress comfy even when going out you never know what you're gonna get into.
heels: J Crew

Beach Picnic:
What better way to start the night than with a picnic on the beach with your friendsWear a bathing suit under your dress you never know right? Also nights by the beach get super chilly so a light weight jean jacket can be a life saver.
shoes: Keds

Lets face it..it's scorching outside...I'm on my balcony sweating and in a bikini. Since I cant be at the beach I thought i'd bring the beach to me and to you guys too! converted a"Bleu de toi" scarf as a pretty decent bikini top and some bottoms I picked up in Spain with the girls. Douanne and I spend about 2 hours at the Miramar occasionally getting up to splash in the water later followed by me screaming cause it was way too cold...oh I'd do anything to be back at the beach....or a lake I don't care!!

Changed into a For love and lemons top after a day at the beach with the girls. It's longer short sleeves and off the shoulder top is what drew me to the piece in the first place. Plus anything that sort of matches my hair is a win.
Heading home today for fathers day today to spend time with the family and see my grandpa. Some relaxing by the pool will happen as well as catching up on Pierce's homework. Gotta put that kid in his place. Oh and maybe a little summer shopping with the baby brother. I like to think of myself as the best sister ever...

I really love feeling like such a girl...like a girly girl ( sometimes haha). Wore an open back Fairground dress in Biarritz wondering the park with friends. I took soooo many photos and still have yet to go thru all of them. I miss everything about France and I'm also quite sad cause I am missing the Casetas. Anyways I'll be posting more photos from Biarritz thru-out the week.

Vintage mustard couches and dresses soft late afternoon light and nothing to do. I remember throwing this dress into my suitcase literally 10mins before leaving for France. Best last minute decision I ever made haha. I'm obsessed.
I leave for NY tomorrow. My stay in Biarritz was far too short. Already counting down the days till I come back in August...taking a quick detour to Berlin. A lot of my friends have decided to move there and I hear it's amazing!

Just another middle of the week afternoon where you'll find me in Biarritz doing absolutely nothing with my day except for
hangin out.
Especially happy to have Morgan as one of my best friends, her photos skills are killer. Palm trees and a flower suit I seriously don't think I could of spent this afternoon doing anything better.
