Puerto Rico is a pretty great idea, this time of year. My family's from there, and I like to go in the beginning of November (super cheap resort day trips). Only trick is, you have to drive EVERYWHERE. If you haven't been before, I'd definitely make sure to hit up the beach in Luquillo (beach food is the best), and a day trip to El Yunque, the national rain forest. Las cavernas de camuy are great too, but a ways to the west. Have a blast!
