Sequins top- Courreges, Biker Jacket- F21, Shorts- Urban Renewal, Boots- 8.15 , Vintage Frames- American Apparel, White leather Purse- Thrifted.

I am so lucky that my mother scored this perfect..PERFECT Sequins top from Courreges showroom. She was a showroom model in Paris for Courrege and has a closet full of all these one of a kind pieces she never wears so now and then I make my way to her room when she's not looking and borrow some bits & pieces of what I think is pure blissful satisfaction. I have no ideal why she doesn't wear any of this stuff!!!

Philip Charles my tall 6.2 foot 18 year old brother and I went on our Saturday drive to the Haven's Thrift store.
Only open on Saturdays from 10am to 4pm.
If you are ever in Eastern Long Island, I suggest you take the time to rummage through the racks of what I personally call Heaven. I was able to come across some slik blouses. I always tend to buy the same things when I thrift...Blouses...or Knit..or leather purses..but come on, you can never have enough silk!!!
Also in the photo are my two favorite people Terry & Jerry....real names! My Lovely Ladies from The Haven's Thrift Store. I tried to explain to them what a "Blog" was...still no luck hahahaha.

I am also in love with my white leather Purse Ibought probably year ago from the same Thrift Store, for only $3!!

Who wants to go to a "Thrift Store" where they over price you on items you might as well go to Target for?
I do NOT!
I like going and supporting the local places. I hate when I walk into a so called Vintage Thrift Store and find myself surrounded by Hyspters and $30 "Vintage T's!" YIKES!! I hate that!! Bring me to the Salvation Army, or a Church. I might spend a good hour and maybe leave with just 2 things...but at least I didn't spend 50 bucks on a shirt and some dumb skirt that I might as well find on the sales racks at Urban Outfitters....

  1. i agree with you 100%. i hate vintage/thrift boutiques. i much prefer salvation army, value village, yard/garage sales, and church fundraisers. occasionally i'll buy something from a boutique, but usually they up the price so much on something i could've found at salvation army myself! i prefer to dig for my finds ;)

  3. I hear ya, I really like looking extra hard for that unique (and supercheap:P) piece. Really hate the stores that sell overpriced shit, but when you call it "vintage" it's cool overpriced shit. Or something. You're looking very rawk and roll. Love it. That's so funny by the way, I have a just turned 19 brother who is really tall hehe! xx
